Apparently Judge (I use the term lightly) Bolton was not aware of 287(g). A lot of people aren't.

Currently ICE has 287(g) agreements with 71 law enforcement agencies in 26 states. Since January 2006, the 287(g) program is credited with identifying more than 160,000 potentially removable aliens – mostly at local jails. ICE has trained and certified more than 1,130 state and local officers to enforce immigration law.

What the ruling Doesn't Say
This is right in line with what I was going to post after breaking down the points in the farce of a ruling today by the hack Judge Bolton.
I of course would have been a bit more passionate about it but the message is the same.
On appeal this is a dead ringer; except if we (yes we b/c this is not just for AZ, but for all Americans) get a liberal panel. If this goes to the Supreme Court; I pray Kagen isn't on the bench! Lets see; I am not a lawyer, but I deal with them. I have no judicial experience but I know what a judge does. Maybe I could get a seat on the Supreme Court too seeing how I have about as much experience as that joke Kagen!

This sounds pretty fair to me. Give them safe passage out. If they are leaving; that is what we want so lets not make it difficult for them and in some cases life threatening. This would be the most "humane" way to deal with the exodus and I am in favor of it.

SB 1070 hearings in Arizona
I ran across this Yahoo news article regarding the hearings today on the Arizona SB1070 law. I wasn't going to post anything about it but after reading some of the statements by the Plaintiff's; I simply could not resist.

Just so you understand: ACLU stands for American Civil Liberties Union. The key word here is AMERICAN.
Note to ACLU attorney Omar Jadwat: YES, it is specifically designed to remove/eliminate or otherwise delete person or persons in this country illegally. You are saying Federal Law is Unconstitutional? I suggest you sue the Feds then and not Arizona because they are simply following Federal law. They are not circumventing it, they are not overriding it and they are not breaking it. In contrast places in California are in fact breaking Federal Law and harming US Citizens in the process. Denying them rights granted to them under the laws of the United States of America.
To the US Department of Justice: You need a mental health check.

REALLY! Seriously, no way you believe that. The United States has agreements in place specifically designed to work with other countries and it in no way allows for the illegal entry of people, the transporting of drugs and the illegal trade of weapons within those agreements. SB1070 is in no way whatsoever related to any business we do with other countries; unless of course the US is in the illegal drug, people smuggling, murder and pillaging business.
Eric Holder and anyone in the DOJ that is on board with this should be terminated IMMEDIATELY!
Of course, if this law is allowed to stand as written and illegals flee the area; I just bet the economy in Arizona will rise, crime will drop, and unemployment will drop. Yep, a lot of things will drop and all of it good for America and Good for the citizens of Arizona.
It is a disgrace and an outrage that our very own government will side against it's own rule of law, enjoin with other countries, bankrupt and murder its own citizens because of demented reasoning and greed.
Stand strong and tall Arizona. Americans stand with you and behind you.

Sherrod & Graham OH BOY!
2 topics: Sherrod and Graham...both are ridiculous in so many ways that I can't even begin to cover them all.
First, as to the Sherrod speech. I heard the uncut speech played on television this morning that put it into "context" and I have to say, applause when she said she didn't help the farmer because he was white absolutely shows the racist menatlity. Sure there was applause through out, but at that particular moment in her speech had there not been any form of racism within the NAACP; you could have heard a PIN DROP, but no, that was not the case. The left will argue that of course there will be applause, it's part of the interaction between speaker and audience. True, but in this case it is not just interaction, but approval of her statement...she hadn't made her point yet, she was working up to it, but still her audience was pleased when she said she didn't help the farmer because he was white. If a Conservative or Tea Party member had said that very thing; do you not think people would be ALL over them regardless of the Context? They would. You can count on it.
As for Mr. Graham. Please go away. You are an idiot. I listened to you speak about supporting the nomination of Kagan. You wouldn't have nominated her but you will support her nomination because the president nominated her? If she isn't good enough for YOU to nominate, why is she good enough for someone else to nominate? BTW Mr. Graham, just because the President nominates her does not make her qualified, experienced or unbiased. She is but another puppet for Obama. She has only limited experience as a lawyer and ZERO as a judge, but yet some how she will make a wonderful life long appointed Supreme Court Judge? A liberal who will disregard the Constitution every chance she gets and who will support the government when it wishes to impose laws for which it does not have the authority to impose. Good JOB Lindsey, now please, Go away! I think the far left liberals are calling you home.

Cell Phones and Driving...yes I'm hitting it
I left campus for lunch today to grab a bite to eat and get back to work. On my way I encountered a Cell Phone Driver. Let me set up the scene for you.
I am on a 6 lane divided road (no not a highway, but a busy road in town). Speed limit is 40 mph (average speed is generally 45-50mph. This is based on 8 years of driving this particular stretch of road almost 2 times a day).
I come to a stop light. I am the 5th car in line. Light turns green. I wait, I wait, I wait... cars in front of me are not moving. The lane next to me has already had 3 cars go through the intersection, but no, I'm still stopped. ???? Count to 10... ok, now slowly I can start moving forward....the truck in front of me, moves to the next lane over, so now I am 4th in line behind the "lead" car. Car's 2 & 3 also jump into the next lane so now it is just me and a big white suburban driving down the road going 25 mph...remember, the posted speed is 40 mph. This is annoying, but I chill out and decide to stay put since my turn is just up the road. The Suburban starts drifting close to the next lane. With a jerk, it comes back into our lane. Immediately I think, "humm, wonder whats wrong, it's not like we are moving at warp speed or anything". We continue on, cars going around us, flying by at the posted speed. Then it hits me. I bet my next 10 paychecks this person is talking on their cell phone! So, in order to know that I am right, I decide to follow the suburban to see if I can get a glimps of the driver. Suburban turns right into a parking lot...not a smooth turn mind you but rather one made with both hand probably occupying some other task and only intermittenly turning the steering wheel. I turn behind it. Then come to a stop because in the middle of the drive/parking lot road, the suburban stops....hummm... ok, definitely a cell phone driver... I sit patiently for a few moments and then the Suburban moves again, ever so slowly. It turns left to go down another parking lot road, I follow. It slooooowwws waaaayyyy down at a turn to go down a parking aisle...driver must have changed their mind and the suburban rolls forward....inching a long, the right blinker goes on. I am not fooled. I know that the chances of that vehicle actually turning right are about 1 in a billion... I'd have better luck winning the lottery. Sure enough, blinker goes off and the Suburban continues......whoops, nope don't want to turn there either (after partially turning down the next aisle). I decide to actually complete the turn for the Suburban, then come back up another aisle so I can get a good look at the driver as they come down the aisle. I am not speeding. I get to the next aisle and see the suburban just making the turn down the one after it, so I go one past it. As we approach each other on separate aisles, the Suburban pulls into a parking space, I slow down and drive right past the front and get a perfect view of the driver; happily chatting away on her cell phone. I WAS RIGHT! With great effort and self control I refrain from pulling in behind the suburban, wait for the driver to exit the car, approach her and SOUND OFF about how not only should she not be driving and talking on a cell, but she obviously flunked Drivers Ed (assuming she ever took it). My blood was boiling.
Why? Well, other than the obvious reason that she sat at a red light that had turned green, was going 15 mph below the posted limit, almost drifting into the adjacent lane, choppy turning, stopping in the middle of the drive, almost turning, not quite turning and just being an overall bad driver... watch this video... .

No jobs in Mexico? Well look around Mr. Illegal; there aren’t a hell-of-a-lota Jobs here either! Say, why don’t you head to Michigan where there is 13.2% UN-Employment or say Nevada? I’m sure Harry Reid will help you find a job. He doesn’t care if Legal Americans have jobs or not, but you, for you he will help find you one. One that surely no legal American would do.
These aliens were not staying in Tucson, some were headed all the way to North Carolina (at 10% unemployment as of July 20, 2010). Do you still think illegal immigration is just a problem for the Southern border states? If you haven’t noticed; illegals permeate every sector of this country. Every crack and crevasse is loaded with them.
The article states that these Illegal Aliens would rather die than stay in Mexico? What does that tell you about Mexico? Why would any American Governor, Senator, and President etc. consider Mexico a friend and ally? Texas Governor, Rick Perry, has said that Mexico is a strong friend of Texas. I guess that means he likes having criminals in his state. Isn’t he up for re-election? I believe so. Unfortunately the only other candidate is a Liberal Democrat so that isn’t much better. Seems to me this current administration could care less about what the American people want. Current Rasmussen polls state that 70% of Arizona voters approve of the Arizona law. According to the Sunshine News (sunshinestatenews.com) “A new poll reveals Floridians are strongly opposed to President Barack Obama’s administration suing Arizona for its measures of cracking down on illegal immigration -- and want a similar law in Florida.” This is was posted on July 21, 2010 (http://www.sunshinestatenews.com/story/rasmussen-poll-finds-floridians-oppose-obama-suit-against-arizona-want-similar-laws-here), but yet the DOJ feels compelled to file a baseless lawsuit against the State of Arizona. Not only that but is allowing other countries (i.e. Mexico) to join them. I ask you, what is wrong with this picture.

According to the Sunshine News (sunshinestatenews.com) “A new poll reveals Floridians are strongly opposed to President Barack Obama’s administration suing Arizona for its measures of cracking down on illegal immigration -- and want a similar law in Florida.” This is was posted on July 21, 2010 (http://www.sunshinestatenews.com/story/rasmussen-poll-finds-floridians-oppose-obama-suit-against-arizona-want-similar-laws-here), but yet the DOJ feels compelled to file a baseless lawsuit against the State of Arizona. Not only that but is allowing other countries (i.e. Mexico) to join them. I ask you, what is wrong with this picture.

The decision is not whether or not we will ration care, the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open???? Really? Is this what those of you (in the minority BTW) who were in favor of the Obama Care bill thought you were getting? I knew it was coming and I know it is going to get worse.
It is important that as Americans we know what is coming down the pipe.

I am shocked and saddened....
I have not yet processed the information, I do not yet have a valid opinion to post, but I am unnerved by the blog post by Nathan Winograd. I will admit; I had no idea of the depths this ran.
I did not know Best Friends did not really support Oreo's law. Is that really true? How can an organization that fought to save the pitties from M. Vick; not support Oreo's Law? Oreo's law: prevent the needless killing of animals when there is alternative rescue available.

In New York City, a one-year old dog named Oreo was intentionally thrown off a sixth floor Brooklyn roof top by her abuser. Oreo sustained two broken legs and a fractured rib. Oreo also appears to have been beaten in the past—several of the neighbors in the building where Oreo lived reported hearing the sounds of the dog being hit. The ASPCA nursed her back to health and arrested the perpetrator. They also dubbed her the “miracle dog.”
The miracle was short-lived. According to the ASPCA, when Oreo recovered from her injuries, she started to show aggression. After a series of temperament tests, the ASPCA made the decision to kill her. The New York Times reported the story the day before Oreo’s scheduled execution. A sanctuary in New York offered to take Oreo, explaining that they had experience rehabilitating dogs deemed aggressive and offering her lifetime care, including plenty of socialization and walks if the rehabilitation was not successful.

Following the furor that erupted over Oreo’s killing, New York State legislators introduced a bill to prevent animals from being killed by shelters when there is a lifesaving alternative offered by rescue groups.
Oreo's law was defeated recently and just today I read Nathan's blog about Best Friends and their position on the law...per Nathan. I have not yet read a statement from Best Friends, but I will seek it out and see what they have to say.
I hope this is some awful misunderstanding of intent and position. I pray the place I have come to love did not in fact sell out to politics. The place that championed for the lives of the fighting dogs when so many other "groups" were calling for their death, did not let the animals and rescuers down.

Really? Seriously? What the hell!
I could have sworn Gibbs backed up the comment just the other day and now since it didn't sit well its; "oh he must have misspoke." I don't think the head of NASA would misspeak about such things... Do you?
I mean seriously here people. When is it going to end? I can tell you; as soon as OBAMA is OUT of the White House - - a place he never should have gotten with in 1,000 ft. of (unless he was taking one of the White House Tours).
Obama must really think all Americans are absolute morons.

FOOLS and IDIOTS; are you one?
It is now official, the Department of Justice has filed suite against the State of Arizona because of the recent law signed by Governor Brewer relating to Illegal Immigration. Commonly referred to as S.B. 1070.
I have read the law, I'd be a fool and an idiot to argue for or against it if I had not in fact read it. So does this mean that I am calling Eric Holder, Obama and others fools because they didn’t actually read the law before criticizing it? Of course I am because THEY ARE! Do you differ in that opinion? My first question would be “why"? My second would be to ask if you too are a fool and or an idiot (this would be a rhetorical question).
Still disagree? Well then let’s look at it this way. Let’s take emotions out of it and look at it objectively or better yet, change up the scenario but leave the basic premise the same.
Let's take our buddy Tom. Tom is an otherwise fairly intelligent person. He has an education, he has a job, pays his bills, taxes and takes care of his family. Tom buys an airplane. Tom is not a pilot. Tom wants to fly the plane anyway. He tries and he crashes. Tom is dead and the plane is destroyed.
Is Tom a fool and or an idiot?
If you answered NO to that question then please stop reading now because there is no hope for you.
If you answered maybe….you can keep reading there might be hope.
If you answered “probably”, “most likely” or “absolutely” or anything else in the affirmative then you can keep reading.
Tom is absolutely a fool and an idiot because you cannot fly a plane unless you know how to fly a plane! Just like you can’t criticize a law if you’ve never read it. Just like you can’t comment on a book you’ve never read! Ok so you can comment but you’d be basing your opinion on hearsay and everyone knows that is not admissible in court; which leads us back to the point, Obama and friends who criticized the AZ law are FOOLS and IDIOTS because they criticized the Arizona law before ever reading it. I guess it was just too many pages. There are 17 pages to the final amended version. Have you seen the Health Care Bill/law, load of crap, unconstitutional bull shit and how many pages IT has??? I digress, I’m sorry. Let me get back to the subject at hand.
Would you publicly announce your opinion on a book that you have never read simply based on what 3rd parties heard from 3rd parties? If so, stop reading now, there is no hope for you.
For everyone else, please keep reading; there is hope for you.

Why would the DOJ target Arizona and not say Oklahoma? Oklahoma you ask, well why would they go after Oklahoma. They would go after Oklahoma because it has passed illegal immigration law similar to that of Arizona. You can check it out here:

What is so bad about the Arizona law and not the California law? Go back and read the California Penal Code 834b and then read the Arizona SB 1070. See any major differences? If not, read it again. They are there!
California requires police to inquire as to your "status". Contrary to wide false reporting, the Arizona SB1070 does not. If you disagree, please copy and paste the language in to a comment and prove me wrong.

If you have a pet, you need to be aware of this. Every day it seems it is getting harder and harder to find safe, quality food for our pets... most who consider their "pets" to be family memebers, as I do.
My dogs are not just four leggers with tails. They are my buddies, my companions and the ones who bring me joy every single day. My dogs do not know prejudice, hate or anger. They know only one thing; they want to be with their human and they want all the belly rubs I can give. Life is simple for them, but what they give in return is so much more.
Don't you think it is time we take a stand and demand better quality, safer food for our furry friends? Isn't what we feed them just as important as what we feed ourselves?
Write to Merrick, write to your Congressman/woman...demand tighter controls over the pet food industry.
